Classes and Adult Education
Our adult education program is the cornerstone of our Outreach Center. We cater to a broad spectrum of learning levels with introductory classes for those with little or no background to yeshiva style programs tailored for those at advanced levels of study. We offer two class formats: ongoing throughout the year, which do not require advance registration, and scheduled sessions which require pre-registration. Most classes are free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

Around the Torah World in 120 Minutes: Advanced
Mondays, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Join us every week for an incredible two hour journey around the world of Torah. Explore new dimensions of learning as we weave our study of Torah through Chumash with Rashi, Navi, Talmud and Jewish Law in the Mishnah Berurah.This ongoing class meets every Monday and no advance registration is required. Currently we are studying:
- Rashi's commentary on the book of Bereishis
- Prophets (currently the 12 minor prophets )
- Talmud: Tractate Berachot
- Jewish Law: Volume IV of Daily Prayer in the Mishnah Berurah.
Around the Torah World in 120 Minutes: Introductory & Intermediate
Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Tuesday's journey around the Torah world includes two hours of lively discussion and exploration based on the weekly Parasha and key Jewish texts. Advance registration is not required for this class. Tuesday's Torah travels include:
- Weekly parasha commentary from Rashi, Ibn-Ezra, Nachmanides and Maimonides.
- Analysis and discussion from Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato's, The Way of God.
- Weekly mitzvah from Sefer haHinnuch, a book reviewing all 613 commandments.
Hebrew Classes: For those short on time, but long on a desire to learn
Missing out on the real meaning of prayers and Torah because you don't know Hebrew? Now you can learn Hebrew with our multi-level day and evening courses for those short on time but long on desire to learn.
We offer daytime and evening classes in beginning Hebrew, prayerbook Hebrew and Hebrew literature. Classes meet for 8 weeks. Cost is $40/members, $60/non-members. Contact Ruthie Benamou for specific times.
The Way of God by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato
Mondays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Start your week off right with a jolt of inspiration from Luzzato's classic, The Way of God. Luzzato's book covers the breadth and depth of how we conceive of God, how we have a relationship with God and how we live a life that is God focused. Class meets Monday mornings from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and is ideal for those looking for an opportunity to learn during the day rather than in the evening. Class is ongoing and open to everyone.
