Building Jewish Knowledge
Jewish Rockville Outreach Center, JewishROC, is a warm and welcoming Outreach Center inspiring Jews from all backgrounds and levels of observance to experience a closer connection to Judaism and a deeper spirituality through Torah, education, and engaging Jewish practice.
Our community is a mix of affiliated and unaffiliated Jews from the Greater Washington area, Virginia and Maryland, as well as a core community of JewishROC members. Our classes, services, and programs are open to everyone regardless of Jewish background or knowledge.
Building Jewish Community
Our congregation grew from a core community of committed families and individuals who became the driving force in the establishment of JewishROC. It has since extended to those who share the common goal of lifelong learning and growth in Jewish thought. Since our inception, our friends and supporters are the foundation that enable JewishROC to reach out to the greater community with classes, services and programs that are open to everyone, regardless of affiliation or membership.

Rabbi Yaacov Benamou
SENIOR RABBI
Rabbi Yaacov Benamou established JewishROC in 2006 with the goal of creating a place where people could learn and experience Judaism in a meaningful way. His unique approach combines the beauty of theoretical learning with practical observance in the context of a warm and nurturing community-based environment. He emphasizes text-based learning that reveals the wisdom and hidden meaning within those texts, and brings to life the beauty and richness of our tradition.

Rabbi Yudi Benamou
ASSOCIATE RABBI
Rabbi Yudi Benamou is an Associate rabbi at JewishROC. He received his Semicha (rabbinic ordination) from Rabbi Nota Greenblatt, of Memphis, TN. He is a kollel fellow in Kollel Zichron Amram at the Yeshiva of Greater Washington in Silver Spring. and received his masters in social work from the University of Maryland. He teaches weekly classes at JewishROC, and is available to answer questions and provide personal guidance.
