Reading Courses

aleph Basic Reading- Crash course in conjunction with NJOP

In conjunction with the National Jewish Outreach Program, this course introduces the Hebrew alphabet, vowels, and basic vocabulary with an emphasis on decoding skills. Tehillim B'Ivrit

This class is for those who want to advance their Hebrew reading skills while improving fluency and comprehension. Psalms are used as the core reading text, and the history and the situations for which different Psalms are recited are examined. Prerequisite: ability to read Hebrew. Click here to register.

Learn to read the Chumash without relying on English translations. This class examines text from the Torah focusing on the unique language and meaning specific to the Bible. Prerequisite - Basic reading comprehension of Hebrew. Click here to register.
