Reading Courses
Basic Reading-
Crash course in conjunction with NJOP

In conjunction with the National Jewish Outreach
Program, this course introduces the Hebrew alphabet, vowels, and basic vocabulary with an
emphasis on decoding skills. Flash cards and recorded lessons facilitate retention of material.

Tehillim
B'Ivrit
Date: Tuesdays Oct 5 - Nov 30, 2010

This class is for those who want to advance their
Hebrew reading skills while improving fluency and
comprehension. Psalms are used as the core reading
text, and the history and the situations for which
different Psalms are recited are examined.

Chumash B'Ivrit
Date: Wednesdays, Oct. 6 - Dec. 1, 2010

Learn to read the Chumash without relying on English
translations. This class examines text from the
Torah focusing on the unique language and meaning
specific to the Bible. Prerequisite - Basic reading comprehension
